Author Guidelines

Before submitting a manuscript, please ensure that it meets all the requirements in the Submission Preparation Checklist below.

Submit one complete, non-anonymised manuscript in English as a single Microsoft Word .docx file prepared using the current official journal template. Do not upload any additional files.

All textual information and metadata entered in OJS must be provided in English.

Submission Preparation Checklist

1. Scope, originality and simultaneous submission

The manuscript is an original research article that falls within the journal’s Aim & Scope. It has not been published as a journal article and is not under consideration or accepted for publication by another journal. Any preprint or substantially overlapping publicly available version has been identified and will be disclosed in the For the Editors section.

2. Journal policies and authorship

All authors have read and accepted the Guidelines for Authors, Ethical Standards, Review Process and Open Access & Licence policy of Obrana a strategie. Every listed author has made a genuine scholarly contribution, has approved the manuscript and the order of authors, and has agreed to its submission.

3. Manuscript file and official template

The manuscript prepared for upload is the complete, non-anonymised English version, saved as a single Microsoft Word .docx file and prepared using the current official journal template. It includes all tables, figures, references, author information, professional CVs and required declarations. No additional files will be uploaded.

4. Length, title, abstract and keywords

The complete manuscript, including footnotes and references, contains between 7,000 and 10,000 words. The main title contains no more than 10 words and fits on one line in the template. Any optional subtitle contains no more than 10 words and fits on one line. The abstract contains between 120 and 150 words, and no more than seven English keywords are provided.

5. Structure, citations and references

The manuscript uses no more than two levels of headings and contains no more than ten concise footnotes, which are not used for bibliographic citations or internet links. Citations and references follow the Chicago author–date style. All references, DOI links and URLs have been checked for accuracy, completeness and functionality.

6. Tables, figures and permissions

All tables and figures are cited in the text, consecutively numbered, appropriately titled and accompanied by a source statement where required. All necessary permissions have been obtained for third-party material, and the manuscript contains no classified, confidential or otherwise legally protected information that the authors are not entitled to publish.

7. Author information and publicly accessible ORCID records

Complete and accurate information is available for every author. Every author has a valid, up-to-date and publicly accessible ORCID record containing their current institutional affiliation and a Biography in English describing their education, professional career and research specialisation. Wherever technically possible, other descriptive information in the ORCID record is also provided in English.

8. Metadata prepared for entry in OJS

The title, optional subtitle, abstract, keywords, subjects, disciplines and complete reference list are ready to be entered in OJS. Complete contributor information is available for every author. All textual metadata are in English and correspond to the manuscript.

9. Declarations

The manuscript includes all applicable acknowledgements, funding information and research ethics information, as well as a Competing Interests statement, a Data Availability Statement and an explicit AI Disclosure statement. Information about supporting agencies and research coverage is ready to be entered in OJS where applicable.

10. Copyright, licence and fees

All authors understand that the journal charges no submission, processing or publication fees, that authors retain copyright in their work, and that accepted articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Licence (CC BY 4.0).

Privacy Statement

Personal data entered in this journal site are processed for purposes related to user registration, manuscript submission, editorial communication, double-blind peer review, publication, indexing, archiving and journal administration.

Author information intended for publication, including names, institutional affiliations, ORCID iDs, professional biographies and designated contact details, may be published with the article and included in its bibliographic metadata.

Other personal data will be processed only for purposes connected with the operation of the journal and may be disclosed where necessary for the operation of the journal, the provision of publishing, indexing or archiving services, or compliance with applicable legal obligations.
