Submission Preparation Checklist
1. Scope, originality and simultaneous submission
The manuscript is an original research article within the journal’s Aim & Scope. It has not been published as a journal article and is not under consideration or accepted by another journal. Any preprint or substantially overlapping publicly available version has been disclosed to the editors.
2. Journal policies and authorship
All authors have accepted the journal’s Guidelines for Authors, Ethical Standards, Review Process and Open Access & Licence policy. All listed authors meet the authorship criteria, have approved the manuscript and author order, and have agreed to submission.
3. Manuscript file and journal template
One complete, non-anonymised Microsoft Word .docx manuscript has been prepared using the current journal template. It contains all tables, figures, References, author information and required declarations. No additional files are uploaded.
4. Length, title, abstract and keywords
The manuscript contains 7,000–10,000 words including the References. The title and optional subtitle each contain no more than 10 words and fit on 1 line. The abstract contains 120–150 words. No more than 7 keywords are provided.
5. Structure, citations and References
The manuscript uses no more than 2 heading levels. Footnotes are not used in the main text. Citations and References follow The Chicago Manual of Style, 18th edition, author–date system. DOI and URL links have been checked.
6. Tables, figures and permissions
All tables and figures are numbered, cited in the text and appropriately sourced. Required permissions for third-party material have been obtained. The manuscript contains no information that the authors are not entitled to publish.
7. Author information and ORCID iDs
Every author is entered separately in OJS and in the correct order. Author information is complete and accurate, including name, email address, country, affiliation where applicable and a valid, publicly accessible ORCID iD. The same author is identified as the corresponding author in the manuscript and OJS. For a multi-authored manuscript, the CRediT Roles entered in OJS correspond to the CRediT Roles section in the manuscript.
8. Metadata
The Title, Optional Subtitle, Keywords and Abstract are ready for entry in OJS, together with the complete contents of the References.
9. Declarations
The manuscript includes a Competing Interests section, a Data Availability Statement and an AI Disclosure and, where applicable, Acknowledgements, Funding and a Research Ethics Statement. The Competing Interests field has been completed in OJS for each author. The Data Availability Statement and AI Disclosure have been entered in the corresponding OJS fields using exactly the same wording as in the manuscript. Where applicable, Funding and Research Ethics Statement have also been completed in OJS and correspond to the manuscript.
