Abstract

In the article the author in his memoirs ponders the military-political aspects of the presence of toxic substances in the Gulf War in 1990-1991, measured by chemists from the 1st Czechoslovak independent chemical protection battalion. The thesis provides a comprehensive look at the history of its origin, its own deployment of in the war, and access to public administrations to its members after returning from the war.

Author Biography

Ivan Princ

Born in 1968. Currently works at Tomas Bata University in Zlín. Graduated from the Faculty of Military Technology, Military Academy of Ground Forces in Vyškov (specialization: military chemistry). Served in the Gulf War (1990-91) and in the ISAF II security mission in Afghanistan (2002). Specializes in the fields of analysis of security threats and risks and protection of armed forces and population against the effects of use/abuse of weapons of mass destruction.
